  Our Lady of La Vang THE 7th NATIONAL CONVENTION
"The Call to Holiness and Evangelization:
living together in Charity, Fraternity, Unity, and Service"
August 12-14, 2005

Sponsors:
The Federation of Vietnamese Catholics in the United States of America that includes more than 700 Priests, 44 Permanent Deacons, nearly 1,000 Seminarians and Religious members of the Community of Vietnamese Clergy and Religious, and approximately 450,000 Catholic laity.

Purpose:

* To mark the 30th anniversary of the arrival of Vietnamese refugees to the United States of America (1975-2005)
* To mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Federation of Vietnamese Catholics in the U.S.A. (1980-2005)
* To lead a Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, where Our Lady of Lavang Chapel will be installed
* To launch a National Plan and Strategy for Vietnamese Catholics to live their faith in the United States

Location:
Trinity University, 125 Michigan Avenue NE, Washington, DC 20017, just 2.5 miles from the U. S. Capitol, and about a 10 minutes walk to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at 4th St. & Michigan Avenue NE. Trinity offers a wide variety of meeting facilities, including classrooms, which seat 100 to 300 people, an 800 seat Notre Dame Chapel, a 700 seat Alumnae Dining Hall, and a 2,200 seat Trinity Center. Time frame:
The 7th National Convention will be held at Trinity University, August 12-14, 2005. It begins with a TE DEUM prayer on Friday, August 12th at Notre Dame Chapel, and concludes with a Concert of Praise for Our Lady of Lavang on Sunday afternoon, August 14th at Trinity Center.

* National, Regional, Diocesan, Parish, Church Community, and Organization Council members
* All people are invited to participate in the Day of Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Lavang on Sunday afternoon, August 14th at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Application and Registration:
Application and Registration, based on a first come basis, begin on March 1st 2005. The Core Team will accept and confirm a maximum of 400 Participants who will stay in the dormatory on Trinity Campus. Application and Registration should be mailed to:

Costs:
The registration fee including all meals and housing for two nights in the dormatory at Trinity University will be $150 for double occupancy. For those who do not need housing, there will be a registration fee of $80 including all meals.
